Ok, for those who don't know how this works, You're trapped on a desert Island. You can have;
-Two books, which cannot include the bible, a dictionary or Lord of the Rings. LOTR would be one of mine, but it's a bit boring.
-Two Albums
-Two objects
So, for me...
Books-The Hitchikers guide to the Galaxy; I can see that being a book that would become even funnier when you're trapped on an island.
War and Peace; I've always wanted to read it, but I've never had time to. So, seeing as I'd have bags of time on my hands, I'd give it a go.
Albums-I'm going to limit myself to one Floyd Album, which would be Animals. I don't know why, that's just the mood I'm in.
And...Grace, by Jeff Buckley. Love that album
Objects-This is harder. I'd probably take a sword, because I've always wanted to learn to fence, and I could teach myself to fill the time. I'd also take...some...erm...girly magazines, for when I got a bit lonely... ~;)
Books: 1) Winston Churchill's books on WWII (That will take a LOOOOOONG time to read and understand; If I take my favorites I will be done so fast) :dizzy2: 2) Of course, my favorite book: the Dictionary ~;)
Desert Island Disc: How about those fancy MP3 players where you can put all your albums in there.
Objects: Batteries to run the mp3 player ~D . Also a HUGE bolo knife.
:charge:
Books: I would pick the two largest books I can find, in terms of page numbers. Thin pages are better, the titles don't matter.
Albums: The Doors - Great Hits & Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
Objects: A huge honkin' case of lighters and an even larger stash of marijuana.
If I've got eternity to kill on a desert island, smoking a crapload of weed will keep me entertained a lot more than a few things I will get bored of quickly anyway. I would never want to reread a book dozens of times, no matter how good it was the first time.
(I'm swimming over to TinCow's island)
Books- The Outline of History by H.G.Wells
The Complete Works of Shakespeare.
Music- Floyd. Greatest Hits. (I think it's called Echoes)
Frank Sinatra- The Capitol Years.
Objects- A hundred gallon bottle of 12 year-old Wild Turkey
A 50 megaton nuclear weapon.

Books -
Sharpe's Waterloo by Bernard Cornwell - Cuz I love that book
Biography of Mozart
CD's- (Do 2 CD sets count as one? If so...)
Panorama - Franz Joseph Haydn
Panorama - George Frederick Handel
Objects - My PC (I'd build a cabin with electrical outlets)

two books. doesnt matter as long as they are HUGE volues. cause there aint no toilet paper.
two albums? also doesnt matter unless you take something to play them with, which would take up one of my objects and aint gonna waste that on playing albums.
two objects: a plane/yacht/submarine and enough food to make it back while using object one.

OK....
Books : Since no matter how big or interesting a books is you are gonna get bored of it sooner or later i would go for a 'how to survive in a desert island' special forces book and maybe a book about how to invent-create stuff.
CDs : No need for any since you would need a player, or else ,if DVDs are allowed I would get the 'complete film anthology of porn from 2500BC to 2004 AD' if such a thing exists.
Objects: Just before I choose i would convert in one of those religions that treat women like Objects and take a couple of them (yes the ones 70% of the earth's population believes in ) . Failling that i would just get a DVD player and a power generator with 100 years worth of power in it so i can watch my DVD's...
