Hey I sent one of my Diplomats to Antioch(owned by the egyptians) to see if I could bully the city into becoming a protectorate they agreed but what happened?? thier province didnt turn my color?? when a city becomes your prtectorate what happens??

I thought it was only the whole nation that could become your protectorate?

yeah the egytian nation is still out there I dont know whats going on..does anybody know?

unless the whole nation is your protectorate, I think it remains as egypt, but will pay you money every turn

No, protectorate is for the entire faction. However, Protectorate is being reworked by the CA design team because currently it not only does nothing for you -- in fact, it often drains your bank account in two or three turns because of a major bug.

So until CA come out with a SP patch, I'd avoid getting anyone under Protectorate status and keeping them there.

I never get them to be Protectorates, i slaughtered all of the Dacians and even when they only had one territory left they still didnt want to be a protectorate :S

jesus!!! no wonder im 27K in the hole does anyone know how to get out of having them as a protectorate? I need that money to bribe the Brutii Armies

Attack them to get them out of it. Or you can just inform them of breaking it.

I may be the one to have a Protectorate for the longest.

As you can see it seems to be equalling out now at the same rate that it increased and with no help from me. However, now I'm now Peacefully taking over their cities by bribes and Assasins.
