Saw this on the .com and thought i'd post it as i've seen a few people requesting how to get the music from the TW series

TOTAL WAR MUSIC TO BE RELEASED
Those of you who are big fans of the music from the Total War games should soon be able to buy special edition CD's featuring the music from Rome: TW, Medieval: TW and BAFTA award winning music from Shogun: TW. With extended versions and remixes these will be an awesome purchase for any TW fan. Any one interested should send an email here so we can contact you first, as soon they become available.

Sweet... I have to say that when I was installing the game (and getting very worried by the progress bar not moving at all for a good 5-10 minutes!) I was greatly passified by the music, and this only got better as I got into the game.

But to hear that it should also include music from the older games is a great bonus!

Yes, I could shell out my hard-earned cash in order to buy the Total War music on CD.
Or I could simply open my game directory and double click on the music file to listen to it! ~D
Really not sure what the point in buying something I already have is. ~;)

Edit: Uhh, oops. I should read more carefully. :dizzy2: I didn't notice there were remixes and extended versions on the CD. It might actually be worth buying.

Thats crap If I own the game I dont need to pay for it twice You can just use a sound ripping program in the background by running the music file and get the music but it would be cool if the cd came with more tracks :charge:

I dont remember who are the music in the STW, but in MTW, is in .WAV format, and can be played for the standard Media player, or Winamp.
RTW, has he music in a .DAT file. This file if you opened it with the Media player version 6, plays the entire sond track of the game. To obtain this, you need a sound editor like Cool Edit. Put them to record, and play with the mediaplayer the dat file. After that, edit the huge track, and ready to burn in cd o listen in any player in mp3 format.
To obtain Windows Media Player Version 6.xx, go to Start--->Run--->now, here you must type: "mplayer2", without quotes, and press enter key.
VoilĂ !!
Or the adress: c:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\mplayer2.exe

May the force be with you!!!

P/D: You can obtain better results using a Sound Blaster sound card.
