I just thought I'd share some campaign progression mini-maps taken every 5 years from my current Parthian campaign (VH/Medium). I am more interested in the AI factions fighting each other really, rather than my own!

I would like to see other players' maps.
270BC: Starting positions.

265 BC: Pontus, Dacia and Gaul off to a good start

260BC: Parthia (me) has just eliminated Armenia. Seleucids and Egypt start their long war

255 BC: Parthia expanding at Pontus expense. Dacia grows.

250 BC: Carthage on the ropes, Thrace terminates Macedon

245 BC: Parthia finishes Pontus. Egypt and Seleucids stalemated

240 BC: Germany losing to Gaul-Britannia alliance. Thrace squeezed by Scythian-Dacian alliance. Egypt finally grabs a Seleucid province (Damascus)

To be continued...

If you have a sequence like that, please post in this thread.

Further proof that the game goes too fast.

What difficulty do you have it set at? I've played a few full campaigns on medium/medium, and the map hardly moves. Not even the great Roman houses really do much conquering.

Well, I've had a quite different experience ^^
Egypt and the Roman Houses always go for a conquest rampage.

I've played a fair few campaigns (never one past about 190-180 bc though) and so far that map looks about normal. Of course different factions do differently depending upon luck o' the draw but i'll agree with previous poster that said Rome and the Egyptians are the big movers. Dacia as in the map always does well and so do gaul till the marius reforms kick in.
