New Maps for STW online/multi/custom

Hello Shogun Players,

There are 33 maps for STW, made by Kraellin, Axial, Kasin, TheForce, Rob and me.

You can use those maps in custom or multiplayer battles, they can be used in online battles too.

There are also some extra Historical Battles
available for download. I recommend the beautiful Sekigahara battle made by Kasin san.

You can also find tools and faqs on how to make maps or Historical Battles yourself.

great work guys. hopefully most people will d/l them. maybe the flatmap will replace totomi as the challenge battlefield.

If any one of these very talented people can create a custom Campaign Map with its custom placement of clans and buildings/units, please let me know. Custom battlefields are nice, but don't interest me very much.

First of all great work! I have them all now...thanks! But I do have one small problem, no one plays them on line http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/frown.gif

C'mon guys this has got to be alot of work for the Tosa's , Rob's, and Krae's (and ALL others I haven't named too http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/wink.gif). I'm sure they'd love seeing their creation becoming the new Totomi of multiplay!

Yes, this is a big problem. As I see it, the main problem is that STW doesn't 'auto-download' maps as they are needed. For example, if I connect to a Half-Life server which is running a map I don't have, it will automatically be downloaded to my PC. STW maps are really only quite small - 28K with a small text description file which is usually less than 1K. This would take a matter of seconds to download on a 56k modem. Perhaps a feature for a future patch? (I wish I had mentioned this earlier now http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/frown.gif .)
