I have but one from your list, tho there are a number there I've read. Think I've still got 'Samurai', by Saburo Sakai, but that's not really of the genre.

The Way of the Samurai by Richard Storry is a philosophically-inclined book. I haven't read it entirely yet, but it has some very nice pictures, at least.

Shingen,

anything in there that focuses on the Asai at all??? any battle recreations or anything?

I have read some of those books (none of the Osprey's though, is it just a gaming book?) that you have mentioned, but I don't own a single one!

: )

-is it a good thing or a bad thing that the history forum's moderator doesn't own any history books???

Well Zen_Blade the book Battles of the Samurai by Stephen Turnbull discusses the Battle of Anegawa 1570,which talks a little bit about the Asai.I'll have to check the other books and get back to you is there anything in particular that you're looking for.
