MTW only. Well, I saw it for $10 and knew it was a game I did want from before so I grabbed it. Got the discs home and I didn't expect a manual in the CD's only package but I see nada that looks like a manual on either CD or the installation. I want it mostly for the campaign game but from waht I keep reading, I need the manual!

Any >good< ideas besides what an idiot I am?

I'll have a hunt around and see if i can find the manual in machine readable format, i am uncertain if it was ever released.

in the meantime
go to this page
Org FAQ's (http://www.totalwar.org/Downloads/faq.shtml)
it has everything we have in the way of Guides, Tips and Tricks,

ALSO
Mizu Server (http://www.mizus.com/Files/k0rgs8gVt/Files.shtml)
has about 80% of our FAQ's

I'd recommend downloading what you need from Mizu Server and then whatever you want that Mizu Server does not have grab from the other link.

Cheers,
B.

My mtw was in the bargin bin and it had a manual on cd 2...

My CD 2 has....

folder: DirectX
folder: GameSpy Arcade
file: data2.cab
file: ereg.exe
file: Version.inf

On CD 1 there is a readme with tech help, Map Editor help and Manual Addenda.

Oh, bother.

I'll change my profile to allow me being emailed and maybe Sapi can send it?
In the meantime, I'll go thru the faqs. I have read a beginners guide from The Org, I linked there from Crazy Ivans' page and that's where I learned that I really need to read the manual and not try to get away without. Goto->oh bother, repeat, aaarrgg.

It's still fun for a while and I do get better, I think.

THANKYOU VERY MUCH!

The email link to the file didn't work but me being a stubborn idiot, I went here and tried the link in the post... you can't trust system code!

Now I think I have to do some reading. Looks like till my brains turn to cheese and dribble out my ears. ~;) Not that you all haven't done that already anyway just to play this addictive game. ~D

Once I get far enough I think I'll have to come back and learn of the mods angles, and strategies and the community over here.

Beaucoup Thanks again!

It's worth it!

I reccomend reading also the MTW unit guide, and, if necessary, the beginners guide to MTW. Both are very informative and help you get off on the right foot. Good luck and have fun!

At the very least, it kills some time whilst installing ~;)
