I guess it happens to you sometimes, It happens with me all the time: when I run out of florins in the game. I get a nice popup that tells that not all of the build orders could be carried out. Does anybody know or has tested that what gets built in this case? Troops have priority? Or certain buildings? Or certain provinces? Or in alphabetical order of the provinces or units? Or using RND?

Of course I know that I could empty the building queues, but it is boring so it would be nice to know how computer decides.

It progresses through the province list - the top provinces will still be building things, the lower provinces will stop for decades in deference to the provinces higher on the list - that's my purely subjective observation.

OK, but what province list? Alphabetical order? Income? Development? And troops or buildings get built?

From the top to the bottom, how exactly I'm uncertain (haven't checked it carefully). It's buildings, then troops, then the next province.

From top to bottom... I still don't get it... So is it using this list?

Or top to bottom on the main map?

Which one is the next province? And which one is the first? Sorry for being such hard headed, but I just don't understand and I am curious ;)

It pretty much goes "north to south", not alphabetically. You can see it yourself when you hit the "end year" button - the battles you fight or see other factions fight are resolved starting approximately in the north-west and ending in the south-east.

Hmm, thats why Cyprus gets stuck... Well, it would still be nice if someone had a province list of turn order or something, so how they considered by the computer ;) I am afraid that this is not listed in one of the text files :(

If you need to get to a southern province then you need to empty the build queues of your northern holdings until you have more money. It may be you have one expensive item up north that is holding you up - a castle in one province that you can take out of the queue until you have more money.

I'm not an expert, but my advice if you don't have enough money would be: concentrate on your most profitable provinces, invest money there (on buildings and especially farms and mines in fruitful provinces if you lack money), forget about low-economy provinces, leave them for a while. Try to qonquer rich provinces. And I think everything should be fine. By the way I've got the same problem while playing the Almohads, early age, normal level. So I concentrated on economy, especially gold-mining first (as this investment pays off very quickly and brings much profit), then on farming in beneficial provinces and last on trade (as the navy was set-up). My economy improved very much. Now at the beggining of the campaign, I always concentrate on the economic side of the game (of course there are exceptions). So these are my thoughts. Best of luck in qonquering Europe!
