I have a gamey question. In my Scipii campaign, I received a scroll saying that the people would welcome my rule. It took about 10 turns before I could pull together the kind of entrance into Rome that I wanted. I attacked the city from all 4 sides with a total off about 5,600 men under four generals, with the faction leader under my control (note to self: graphics settings which work for 3,000 men are too high for 6,000). I took the city, & ... nothing. I assume I'm imperator because the Senate tab is grayed out & the faction information tab has the victory condition "Imperator: capture 17 more provinces."

So, am I imperator, or until the end of the game? Or do I have to wipe out all the other Romans? How do I find out how the people feel about my faction leader sacking Rome & enslaving half the population? I didn't receive a notice about the Marian reforms, so maybe this is the same.

You have to get Rome and 50 provinces to become Imperator, i.e. to win.
I suspect that you have to get 17 more provinces to complete the game.

You already are Imperator, at least in the original sense.

hum that's right u have to get 50 provinces but u can still play on even after becoming the imperator, just ctrl+s (quick save) when the victory box pops up and load quick save from the main menu.......... :charge:
