I just realized that they are totally non-related.

The once Shogun Hojo had no offsprings that leads to STW Hojo. The Hojo in Kanto (parden me if I spell it wrong) has only 5 generations in political power since the first changed his last name from a nobody to Hojo. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

1590 A.D. Toyotomi Hideyoshi surrounded the castle of (Don't-know-the-name-in-English), and finally the East Hojo surrendered and the leader brothers forced to commit suicide. That's the end of the short but famous east Hojo. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

Actually, IIRC, the original name-changer Hôjô's (Hôjô Sôun's) son was married to a very, very distant relative of the original Hôjô shôgun clan in order to obtain some justification. But basically, still...

Odawara is the castle city. It still exists today. (The city, anyway). It was the most impregnable castle in Japan until the building of Osaka by Hideyoshi.
