Downhill supremacy

The fights in Rome are great and despite some really IDIOTIC moves by AI they look great and feel great.

But those situations when you are defending and you can put your units on a hill are just to easy.

I mean i just won a battle with 112 men against about 600 (around here) and i didn't even have a general nor did i kill theirs.
I just put all of them on small hill and charged with one onit at a time till they fleed.

It's ovius that there is an advantage when fighting downhill in real life but this is too much.I dont know how this is calculated but it seems that my men got 5-6 times better and stronger.Now this just isnt true.

Oh and this was all with no callvary.

What were your units and theirs {including upgrades and experience} ?

What was the terrain type {Barbarians get a boost in snow} ?

What difficulty level {Easy gives you +3 or +4 Attack for example} ?

Say some 2 experience Naked Fanatics with silver weapons and armour on that hill Vs basic Hastati and Veletes for example would be reasonable chance of victory .

Also remember , strange things happen {especially when involving complex computer codes} and you might loose a seeming identical battle another day badly .
We would need more information to give you reasonable oppinions on it {I havn't noticed much effect on hills compated to MTW myself , but then I invariably build cavalry rich armies and flank in massed block of equine destruction so hills don't really get much chance to worry me ~D .
