Bribery is too easy, said many times before. especially when you have a kick-ass economy later on in a game the ai is mincemeat.

Suggestions.

1. Cost of bribery for captain led troops in the field rises as number of your settlements-basically the more powerful you are the more everyone else hates you. So at 30 provinces instead of getting fresh bribed troops for near cost of training them they would be say 10X(led by captain).

When bribing generals the same would apply but not quite the same multipliers. Bribing towns IMO is not too bad at present with the attendant risks of immediate revolt etc.

2. Bribing anyone other than declared enemies leads to instant war declaration(you can bribe your fellow romans early on for no diplomatic penalty-or so it seems)

#1 still allows a weak ai faction cheap bribery options.

I'd be very interested in any of you modding guys think these are possible by modding.
