If, one of you family members have bad behavior. And as the paterfamilias I do not want that. I send him alone to a army of 10.0000 at least en let him charge to his death.

Question:

Does the widow re marry?

Although not unusual at those times, I've never seen it in game.

Don't think it can happen.

(Although at least those 12 year old wives should have a second chance ~D )

I thought it was funny in Medieval Total War to be able to have your faction family members inter-marry & well, breed.

It was funny as heck! Having brother-sister in there lol!!!! Its cruel, but I thought it was halarious. It saying that it would be hidden from public eye, lol!

It doesn't seem to happen. I had a daughter marry a really old guy (Lucius Lusius, and this name is not a joke) only to have him keel over 2 years later. She never remarried.

Normally, I would reject a suitor that old out of hand. However, at the time, I had EIGHT eligiblle female family members, and I had to marry them off. The daughter in question was 27 already, so I couldn't afford to reject suitors until I had taken care of at least 5-6 of them.

I think once the the husband and wife are paired up on the family tree, it's set in stone. It would be fun if you could cajole marriages via diplomat, sort of like the MTW princess pimp tour of Europe.

Making a guess from the tangled UI it would create (plus the fact that it seems no one's ever seen it happen), I'd say this isn't a possibility.

Hey man, those Spartan Hoplites protect my women! Yea, I just marry off every single sutor that comes along, and use them as Governors, and they lots of times get killed in action in defenses gone foul, or when they salley forth to assist under AI control, they get themselves killed most of the time sadely. Why I keep letting them get married.

When I fight with one of them, I put them beind a nice line of Spartan Hoplites, or if severley out numbered I form the Hoplites in a defense square with my guy in the center. ~;) Protects him well.
