Anyone got it, what do you think???
I don't have Nexus but the reviews seem pretty solid. It sounds like the game could use a bit of patching to bring certain things up to speed. The one aspect of the game that turns me off is the presence of a linear, scripted campaign. I really detest having fixed mission campaigns in sim/pseudo-sim games. It ruins the overall immersiveness, especially when you fail and are forced to play the same mission over and over again until you succeed. As far as I'm concerned dynamically generated campaigns & missions should be considered the industry default for sims and games like Nexus.

Got it, played it (not finshed yet)...
This is good, very good... Not fantastic or revolutionary but very good...
Graphics are beautiful and spacy, story is pretty good, the game reminds me of the first Ground Control but in space... In fact the more I think the the more appropriate that sounds... You have a linear story (good story with a few twists) with a linear series of missions to undertake. Missions are pretty varied a can be challenging. The game is really all about space battles, with the missions justifing the battles and the story justifying the missions...
It plays like the old Star Trek: Starfleet Command games with you controling/commanding the ships rather that directly piloting them, you set navigation point, target ships deal with power management, etc...
Lots of variety in weapons and combat styles allows for different battle strateges in the fights, but you will always be fighting...
Looking at all the extra detail in the game, with galaxy and system maps (with the planets moving in orbit) and the worm hole system and different races this feels like a game that could have been alots more more (think RTW in space) but is instead a very fun space battles game bases at the capital ship level...
