egyptains

i started a campain as the egytpians and instead of going all gunho at the start i made an alience with the numidians and got trade agreements with them.

i then built up my armies towns etc. for 5 - 7 turns and went and took the rebel factions to the east.

now i have a problem the secluded empire (sp) has started attacking and i havent really got many forces to at my northen towns i managed to take there settlement right of jeruselem but now find myself sprread to thin.

what i was wondering is if that anyone has played as this faction could give me some pointers as to what troops to train up early in the campain and what are most efective troops in the longrun for egypt as this is only my second ever campain in any total war game.
