I have played this game for coulpe of days; i conquered spain, france and moving into the eastern belt of europe; i hate peasants, they just don't stop rebelling, i have filled up barracks; lowered taxes, built shrines, etc. how do i stop them doing this? anything, even cheats would help!?!?! :furious3: :wall:

Check the forum index (top sticky), and also run through the threads for the last week, because a good dicussion has been going on.

Unrest is a complex, multi-faceted issue, and these sources will answer your questions.

Give them free breads and treats once in awhile they wont get upset overtime. Keep your peasants happy! Having a strip club and bars would really keep those boys occupied, maybe some fat pigs for the shows.

Building bonuses like temples, public baths and troops help restore revolts.

Maybe i havent seen this before, i havent had any problems yet.

consider moving your capital closer to the constantly revolting cities
and
eliminate cultural buildings that are not of your civilization (so, if you're Roman, get rid of temples to non-Roman gods, etc.) and replace them with your faction's specific cultural structures.

Oh yes forgot to mention that it can give you problems if your settlements are too far from the Capitol, the farther away the worst it will be.

Negative governor traits, dictance to capital, possible enemy spies in your towns, cultural unrest penalty caused by buildings not belonging to your factions culture, garisson size and taxes.Micro manage all these things and u should be able to keep your population happy untill u reach squalor levels, even at squalor levels i can keep most of my cities from revolting.
