What is the diff of having yearly games alone, yearly races alone or yearly games and races????

I have seen that either one gives the same effect.

Can anyone help?

Just like you said, I don't think there is any difference, so don't sweat it.

Nope....I was conducting big research (I use 1.1 patch), daily games=monthly games&races...etc.

If your city is very rebbelious then u can be saved by daily games and races:)

Hi Legionaire, a warm welcome to the Org! ~

As for your question, I've not seen any effects for either yearly games, although "GovernorThrowGames" is a trigger for the Editor retinue character.

Right, but he was asking about the yearly variations, AFAIK, there are no differences there.

would they happen to have an effect on whether your governor gets racing or games V&V's?

No evidence, just talking out my  here.

Well, it looks like the fan of the races VnVs are linked to a hippodrome being present when a city upgrades to the next level, not how often the races are held.

Same deal for the games vice.

Of course, there's a random chance at birth they'll pick up either of these V&V's. Their father's V&V's can have an impact too. Maybe I'm missing something...

This is a little strange really. Since a hippodromes and amphitheatres require a level 4 governor's building (Pro-Consul?) these events will only fire when a city with a one of them is upgraded to have an imperial palace. With hippodromes and amphitheatres being some way down the priority list for most cities and governor buildings being at the top, this event probably only gets tested a few times per game, meaning that these V&Vs hardly ever occur.
