buying expansion in US

after they clarified the varying versions... I am still slightly confused. For us here in the USA, do we have to rebuy teh game in its new version??? or is there some way for us to save about $20 as I have heard that the price for the new edition will be around $40....

The $40 mentioned in another post was for pre-orders at retail stores. In the US, retail stores will only sell the "gold" version that has the full Shogun game and the expansion. The expansion only for those of us who have the game already can only be purchased online through EA. I have not seen a price on that anywhere, but $15-$20 would be my guess.
