Sims 2

Ok, Im thinking about getting that one somewhere in the near future (Christmas) but I remember the first one got quite boring after a while, and Im not sure if its worth spending the money right now or wait til the prices go down a bit....

Anyone got it? Any good? What are the differences/improvements wrt the first one?

Don't have it so I can't really say, but I have not purchased it on the basis that I found the first one boring and this release is practically identical to the original bar great graphics and a new 'wants and fears' function to give you sims a bit more direction...

A lot of the reviews stated that if you didn't like the original sims then there was not really anything in Sims 2 to alter your opinion...
