Can some nice mod / admin help with finding an old thread of mind?

I think it was called "The Celts". I posted a fair bit of research in it that I've since lost and need for the org EB mod.

I would be greatly indebted if someone could help.

PSYCHO V, isn't this the second time you lost this thread? ~;) Just giving you a hard time - with the forum move all the old links got hosed anyway. I thought it was in the Colosseum but a quick visual search there and here did not locate it. I'll PM Tosa to see if he can find it for you.

I found it here: https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=29229.

A hint for when searching for lost threads: it's best looking in the archives (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/archive/index.php). That way, all 2785 Colosseum threads fit onto 12 pages!

Yes Gregoshi, I am not sure how they work though. Arhive suggest that it will store every post even if deleted from the forums. I think it's just another presentation of the same data though. It would make more sense to me if they were static HTML pages like in UBB (combination of strong points).

Another hint not to lose your favourite threads under heavy traffic; from the thread tools (top right) subscribe to the thread and select the no email option on the following page. This way, you will be able to reach it anytime from your user CP.

Good tip, Mouzafphaerre. Other useful options are to set the Default Thread Subscription Mode in User Control Panel/Edit Options. Once set, this will automatically subscribe you to any thread you start/reply to. You can also manually do this in the Thread Subscription box when posting.

This is going to sound really stupid, but...how do you get to the Archives?
Where are they?

There's a link at the bottom right hand of each forum page:

- Contact Us - Totalwar.org - Archive - Top.

You could also click on the link I supplied above.
