View Full Version : After Battle Stats
When I get the quick-stat screen right after battles, I am always a bit puzzled. How come the number of kills do not really match with the number of people before and after the battle?
Seems that if I sent a 1000 people into battle and the enemy killed 200 I should come out with 800, no?
Am I missing something?

sometimes your men are killed by friendly fire and not by the enemy, sometimes those who are killed are ressurected by the chirugeons your general has in your retinue. etc. though i would like to know how an elephant that is burned by boiling oil at the gates can be ressurected.
Ah, so my kills include all the kills, even the friendly troops my boneheaded archers shoot in the back of their heads? Interesting. I gotta watch wether that works out...

Sometimes it's a bit unrealistic though. I've had entire units wiped out, only for half of them to come back from the dead, even though i watched them get burnt alive by an enemy onager.
Quite a few times I see one unit mysteriously resurrected to full strength, like 90% of the fallen now fine! There must be a conspiracy... ~
I had a unit recover totally. I lost an 80 man principes unit, and all 80 of them healed...
I'm sure i read somewhere that troops are more likely to recover depending on how they were killed i.e it's easier to pull an arrow out rather than sew someones head back on!
I maybe wrong though, it wouldn't be the first time! ~

I suppose it's also easier to help someone who got blown up by a a large burning boulder that was flying along at 80m.p.h? ~;)
