Yo, I've installed RTR 4.0, but can't play normal RTW campaign anymore ~ So what am I to do if I want to have both RTW and RTR installed and be able to use them? Is it possible? Thanks if you can help.

Follow these steps to be able to switch between the original, vanilla Rome: Total War, and the modified Rome: Total Realism version. Do this BEFORE you install the mod if you want two seperate versions of the game to run.

Step 1) Go to wherever you installed Rome: Total War on your computer. This is generally your C:\Program Files\Activision\ folder.

Step 2) Inside the Activision folder, you will see a folder called "Rome - Total War." This is the folder that contains ALL of the main data files for Rome: Total War to run properly. Make a COPY of this folder.

Step 3) Wait until it`s finished. It will take awhile depending on the speed of your computer. Generally, it'll take up to 5 - 10 minutes.

Once it's finished, you'll see a new folder called Copy of Rome - Total War.

Step 4) Now, install the mod.

Step 5) Go back to the C:\Program Files\Activision\ folder if you closed it. Rename the Rome - Total War folder to Rome - Total Realism. Rename the Copy of Rome - Total War folder to Rome - Total War.

Step 6) Go inside the Rome - Total Realism folder and rename the red RomeTW icon to RomeTR.

Now, when you want to play either version, go into your C:\Program Files\Activision\ folder, and enter whichever version's folder that you wish to play. Double click the red icon (RomeTR for Rome: Total Realism, RomeTW for Rome: Total war vanilla) and the game will boot that version.

This way you can play vanilla, or vanilla multiplayer, whenever you want, and Rome: Total Realism whenever you want. Or, you can test the mod out, and get rid of it easily if you don't want it.
