Is there a difference which units I garisson?

I'm not talking about what units to garisson (the best for garisson are peasants and town watch), but tell me please, is there a difference which units I garisson from an economical point of view? For example when I place hastati unit in a settlement do I get more expenses than I locate that unit outside the city? Thank you :bow:

As far as i know there is no additional cost to garrisoning a unit. So therefore the unit's maintenance rate will determine the cost you pay to keep them.

I use the most vanilla "good" unit I can - like Militia Hoplites or Town Watch etc.... - Peasants aren't supposed to be built in my mind unless you need to repopulate.
