It happens quite frequently, that after a battle some units have an incredible healing rate.
I have had 150 and more men healed in a single unit.
I believe that casualities inflicted by missiles can be healed much easier that such that came from melee.
But today I had the idea, that friedly fire casualities heal even more better.
That is just an impression, which I cannot prove at the moment, but I think it deserves further investigation.

I suspect it applies to all ranged attack casualties rather than just friendly fire. I've noticed that troops depleted by ranged attacks (enemy and friendly fire) seem to be the most likely to heal. Nothing scientific...but that is the impression I have gotten.

I agree. Missile fire seems to allow for more healing. This makes sense as multiple injuries are far more likely in HtH combat.

I can't say that I have noticed any difference regarding where the fire might originate.
