can some one tell me what programs i need to mod, and also mabey on how to do a simple mod

Photoshop, 3d Studio Max to make units
Verctingonex's script thing
And you can download the unit/building editors if you want

The main file you'll want to tinker with for a very simple mod would be descr_strat, which is under /data/world/maps/imperial_campaign Just copy the imperial campaign folder and open up descr_strat and look at the instructions at the top and play around with it.

Gun_Kill, you don't necessarily need all those programs, it depends on how complicated ur intended mod is. If its a comlete re-working, then you need a decent image editor at least, but if all you want to do is change which factions own where etc, then all you need is notepad.
