View Full Version : Time Commanders: Monday 06.12.04 8pm
Hi everyone ~
I've just been checking my basic TV channels here in the UK and have spotted Time Commanders on UKTV History at 8pm. It is Boadicea's revolt against Roman authority in 60AD. Hope you can join me in watching it.
~
Isn't this a re-run of an old episode?
Probably Spino but I didn't catch many episodes the first time either due to commitments or not having the right channel. Are you going to watch it again?
thanks mate, id heard it was on again sometime today, i was searching teletext for it thinking it was on bbc2, then bbc3 then 4. I had given up thinking it wasn't on at all, didn't think to look on uktv.

That would be rather difficult as I live in NYC! I was able to download and watch virtually all of the original TC episodes thanks to those in the TW community with video capture equipment and ample bandwidth.... ~;)
Apologies Spino, didn't look under your avatar :embarassed: .
I hope you feel better knowing I'm going to be sat here with a frys mint cream chocolate bar in 1 hand and a can of pepsi in the other enjoying it for the 1st time.

Enjoy! The historians alone make TC worth watching. Nusbacher's comments are priceless! ~ ~D
Cheers Spino ~
After watching the abysmal efforts off the guest generals I believe my command of the roman legions is not under threat :charge: .
For those in the UK Time Commanders is on every night this week at 8pm.

...one more reason to move to the UK... :knight:
I want to watch too!
I HATE NORWAY!

kill the presenter and learn how not to play the game by watching the teams. ~D
listen to the historians, they are definately the best part of the show! ~:)
The historians are good, Arhne or whatever his name is, is pretty good. The bald chap was going abit mad with those cocktail sticks. I saw that bald guy on something on c4 with him riding horses and shooting bows, he is very enthusiatic. Perhaps a little OTT though. I remember Mark Urban doing it too, perhaps he got a taste for such things after imposing little pictures of tanks and soldiers on satellite images of iraqi cities for two years.

:furious2: Grrr, why don't they bring it on BBC2? Then I would be able to watch it. Now I have to hope that someone puts it on the internet.

I wish they'd put it on BBC2 as well. Since I missed most of the eps the first time and I lack sky/digital.

Have you got any links to those episodes? Would very much appreciate it!

Hi everyone ~
My daily update ~:) .
Last night's Time Commanders was a let down as I had seen it before. The night before I couldn't believe the guests won as Alexander when they attacked the enemy with unsupported cavalry while the infantry sat way off sharpening their spears.
Tonight should be worth watching as it is recreating a battle from the Roman civil war I believe.
Tune in :charge: .
Just finished watching Time Commanders on UKHistory and it was Spartacus. I'm a little annoyed as the battle was quite even and the program took a commercial break. When it came back on the guest's were being congratulated on their win!!!!!!! Was it just me or did the end of the battle go missing??

Where can i d/l the episodes. Im in US and cnt find the time it is on.

I just watched that too. Pretty dumb eh? :furious3:
its been on everyday 8.00 pm except tonight sunday 12 dec on the history channel. repeated the day after at about teatime 5.00 clockish. so do not expect it to last longer than a couple of weeks on the history channel[ but it should get quite a few reruns]. as regards to a previous post on the bald headed geezer in time commanders. the programme was on channel four a few months ago. it was about weapons that changed history.[i think? :help: ] subjects included swords/longbows/armour etc how they were made who made the best swords armour etc and the longbows influence.
any1 know where to download the episodes?
You're gonna give me the 50 quid then? ~D
