does anyone have any informative links regarding the history, and in particular, the armament of sohei/yamabushi/warrior monks?

i believe warrior priests etc favoured polearms such as naginata and nagamaki. as for yamabushi, do you mean ninja? if so, stuff like kusari fundo or something like that. bascially a sickle with a chain... pretty nasty

meh. I ninjas didn't really have good blades.

and yes, most all ninja weapons are rather nasty contraptions
