First of all, I apologise if everyone already knew about this.

There is a battle map editor on both STW and MTW. You could create castles and huge mountains and all kinds of fun in maps on those games. However, there's no map editor in RTW. But it appears there was one, and it was removed. Check out your RTW directory: look in (RTW)\data\text\battle_ed.txt (or something similar).

It's a text file full of strings that would be used in a battle map editor (heck, just check out the name of the txt!). But, unless I am sorely mistaken, there is no such editor in the game.

How remarkable. I wonder why the editor was removed, but the text file containing strings for it remains? Perhaps it'll pop up in a patch/expansion. Can anyone shead some light on this?

One CA dev said it would be included in the 1.2 patch. Have no idea on why it was left out at first. Maybe they ran out of time and couldnt finish it.

I was impressed with the battlefield graphics in the game-I'm sure if an editor does come out, that some people will be able to make some lovely and exciting maps to play on. More hills!

Then again, I am a big fan of Shogun...and that game had more hills that you could shake a stick at. made things very interesting...*wonders off into nostalgia world*

Oh right there were a few other greeks there right? Eh who cares the Spartans were the best! Kill the weak baby! ~
