View Full Version : Gojoe
I suggest every fan of 'Shogun: Total War' to immediately grab a copy of Gojoe (a Japanese film of 2000) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0260054/) of your local video club or even buy the DVD. ~;)
This film (which I saw totally by chance!) depicts some very nice [fictional] actions of the Sengoku Jidai era including some units that you can see only in STW!
You will see:
-Warrior Monks
-Kensais (actually 3 of them!!)
-Samurai Archers
-Naginata
You will love it! Amazing scenes of combat and Samurai gore. Trust me, hit the link I gave above for more information. ~:grouphug:

Aregato Kensai
As a huge fan of samurai cinema I'll look for this.
If you have a Dish satellite system look for the IFC Samurai Cinema (Independent Film Channel) every Saturday.
Some good older stuff, like Yojimbo and Zatoichi.

I already saw the film a second time! It's so great, the Kensais in the game rule... nothing in the game stands against them.
I wish you could make your heir assigned to a Kensai "unit" in the SP game. :(
In v1.02 you can't, don't know if sometime you could.
i really am a huge fan of japan, samurais and especially Kensai( no not you! ~;) )
so i'll try to find this one!
More ideas like this would be welcome! ~
Respect to Kensai! (to you too, this time)
bye!

Konichiwa!!
I've been looking for samurai films for quite a while, but I'm really interested in tha film called "KAGEMUSHA" which is directed by tha legend Akira Kurosawa. I heard the film is 1 of the best during Kurosawa's time. Anyway, the film did refers to tha actual historical events of tha Takeda Clan. It just so relief for me to get this film asap!!
By tha way Kensai, thanx for suggesting Re: Gojoe! Hope there's more samurai films to come.
1 more thing, check this site - http://www.ninjadojo.com/. U can find most of tha ninja and samurai movies in tha site. Tons of them! I just dont know which 1 to pick!
Hope u guys like it.

I'm gonna watch Gojoe again, after many many years! :whip:
Gojoe does sound interesting Kensai! I am only familiar with Kurisawa films. I might actually look into this one! :)
It's nice to have some conversation in the good ol' Sword Dojo as well! ;)
