View Full Version : removing the colloseums
I am fighting my first campaign... and the cities are rioting, I am pretty fat in the game so all of them have colloseums.
for some reasons these cities seem to able to generate lots of gladiator units when they riot and the cities are a pain te conquer again..
does anyone else use the technique of destroying the colloseums when things get to hot?
To destroy any destroyable buildings, right click on it's picture in the city screen and a scroll will pop up with a button you can click to demolish it.

I wouldnt destroy the colusems if I were you. The coluseum gives a big happines bonus, and if you destroy it will be much harder to kepp publicorder.
unseen potatoe...
if it is a bog city... they might toss you out.. but then the city is so easy to get back, exterminate the people (it will be quiet for a while), cash the 20.000+
and wait for the next uprising somewhere

well....in my previous campaign as seleucid,....every roman cities i occupy...i will definately destroy the colloseums. Reasons is that firstly of the uprising of gladiators and the expenses i need to spend on the games....well so far its works for me....cheerz!!! :charge: :charge:
Destroying the coloseums also takes away the ability to host games, which far outweighs any culture penalty.
