Just had to post my experience of a tough-as-nails Parthian General in my single-player game over the weekend...
In my Seleucid campaign, the Parthians had laid their annual seige to Seleucia. My army (a few phalanxes and six or so Greek Cav) sallied forth and had the Parthians fleeing the field in their usual style. I happened to notice the Parthian General, the sole survivor of his unit of foot soldiers (can't remember exactly which type), hobbling away from the battlefield in the opposite direction to his beaten army. I sent a unit of 22 Greek Cav after the fellow - they duly caught him up, sandwiching him against the stone wall of Seleucia. There followed some 30-45 seconds of the GC laying into the Parthian for all they were worth. I watched as the Parthian General was flung high in the air a number of times, seemingly like a crowd surfer in a mosh pit (after several tosses I was poised on the PrintScreen button, but it didn't happen again). After 15 seconds more of the GC laying into the General some more, the GC got spooked and routed. The Parthian General picked himself up, dusted himself off and ambled off the edge of the map.
