Just had to post my experience of a tough-as-nails Parthian General in my single-player game over the weekend...

In my Seleucid campaign, the Parthians had laid their annual seige to Seleucia. My army (a few phalanxes and six or so Greek Cav) sallied forth and had the Parthians fleeing the field in their usual style. I happened to notice the Parthian General, the sole survivor of his unit of foot soldiers (can't remember exactly which type), hobbling away from the battlefield in the opposite direction to his beaten army. I sent a unit of 22 Greek Cav after the fellow - they duly caught him up, sandwiching him against the stone wall of Seleucia. There followed some 30-45 seconds of the GC laying into the Parthian for all they were worth. I watched as the Parthian General was flung high in the air a number of times, seemingly like a crowd surfer in a mosh pit (after several tosses I was poised on the PrintScreen button, but it didn't happen again). After 15 seconds more of the GC laying into the General some more, the GC got spooked and routed. The Parthian General picked himself up, dusted himself off and ambled off the edge of the map.

How many men were lost from the GC?

That is amazing. I thought this was about an actual general though.

If one of your spies can track this guy down I'd love to see a screen capture of his traits.

See how many hitpoint bonuses he has.

lol

I just did a custom battle, going down fighting.

1 unit of full upgraded urban cohort
VS
40 units of warbands

The cohort lost, of course, but it took about 15 minutes and it took 1213 enemies with it!

Maybye the parthian general had a really high def

Are u using rtr? Because i'm sure the parthan general in rtw is mounted...

Greek Cav suck. I lost a city because 2 units of them failed to kill one fleeing archer in time. They sort of ambled around him looking disinterested.

i had a multiplayer game like that where i was trashed except for my lone carth infantry general being chased by some selucid light cav. they chased him for half the length of the map, then he routed them. and my opponent had to bring up heavy cav and elephants from the other side of the map to take him down, and it still took a while. he'd get knocked down and get up again. he must have fallen down at least 6-7 times.
