Well I heard of Lu Sun, a general in Wu who stopped the Shu armies of invading Wu. But I never a child called Lu Sun. There are two probabilities, one is the child is the Lu Sun we are talking about, the other probability is he is a made up character in DW3. Is that the answer Lu Meng?

The reason that Lu Xun look very young in DW3 is because he become the Suppreme Military Commander of Wu at very young age. I don't remember how young but some where around 25 - 27.

Another thing that help Lu Xun success is he know himself and he never under estimate his oppenents. For example: Zhou Yu is great and he knows that he is great. He try to compete with Zhuge Liang. Or I should say that he try to eliminate Zhuge Liang to eliminate a great threat for Wu later. Unfortunately, he failed since Zhuge Liang always out smart him. On the other hand, Lu Xun knows the ability of Zhuge Liang so he is always very careful when he has to face Zhuge Liang. He did said that his strategy used to defeat Liu Bei at Yi Ling was success only because Zhuge Liang was not there. He always wants Shu and Wu to be allies since he know that only Zhuge Liang can compete with Sima Yi (Wei). If so, Zhuge Liang can keep Sima Yi busy at the Western provinces while he can attack Wei on the Eastern provinces (since Lu Xun know that he can not out smart Sima Yi).

Lu Kang, son of Lu Xun, later was promoted to the same position as his father, but he is not as good as his father.

Thanks, guys. It is nice to have someone to whom I can discuss about the novel.

First, I read the novel (many times). I loved it. Then I played the game starting with RTK 2 by KOEI. Now, I own both DW2 and DW3 and still play RTK 3 and RTK 4 often. They are all great games.

By the way, I forgot to mention that Lu Xun is Sun Quan's son-in-law. Also, both Zhuge Liang of Shu and Sima Yi of Wei has great respect for Lu Xun's ability.

got more info on Lu Xun!!!

Full Name:
Lu Boyan
Life Span:
(AD 183-?)
Warlords Served:
Sun Quan
Officers Killed:

Cause of Death:

Scholar and son-in-law of Sun Ce. He succeeded Lu Su after being appointed as the Commander-in-Chief out of the blue from Kan Ze's recommendation when East Wu was in danger of being overrun by Liu Bei's deep incursion into Wu territory. Many officers opposed to the appointment of Lu Xun's appointment as the commander-in-chief due to his scholarly background but Sun Quan went ahead with the appointment nonetheless.
Lu Su's orders of holding and defending the important passes and castles and ceasing all attacks on the enemy has raised the eyebrows of many generals. Many think he is a coward. Though misunderstood and could be in danger of insubordination among his generals, Lu Xun held steadfast to his strategy waiting for the approciate strategy to strike.

The time to strike finally arrived when Liu Bei moved his army into the more shady woods during the summer. Ma Liang cautioned Liu Bei against Lu Xun's motive for his seemingly cowardly defensive stance could be waiting for this very moment whereby to make use of the hot summer heat to launch an counter offensive by fire. Unfortunately Liu Bei turned a deaf ear to Ma Liang's advise and was subsequently defeated. Lu Xun's pursuit of Liu Bei ended when he was lost and trapped inside the rock formation set up by Zhuge Liang.

He was later appointed as the Prime Minister of Wu and honored the pact of alliance with Shu with reinforcements and attacks on Wei.

HA more info son!!!!

Lu Xun of Wu

Profile
Lu Xun, a native of Wujun, was originally named Lu Yi. He was married to the daughter of Sun Ce, and was one of the many great Wu advisors. He was involved in the capture of Guan Yu and defeated Liu Bei at Yi Ling, despite being young and inexperienced.

Cao Rui said "Lu Xun knows the art of war even as did Sun Tzu and Wu Qi". It is true that he was a master at strategy, on par with people like Sima Yi and Zhuge Liang. Despite his great talent, he was humble and deferential. Kan Ze, who recommended him strongly to Sun Quan, said of him "He is well-known to be a scholar, but really he is a bold and capable man, no whit inferior to Zhou Yu". In physical appearance he was described as "...eight spans in height, with a beautiful face, like the finest jade".

Zhuge Liang
Full Name: Zhuge Kongming
Life Span: 53 years (AD 181-234)
Brothers: Zhuge Jin(elder), Zhuge Jun(younger)
Son: Zhuge Zhan
Nephew: Zhuge Ke
Warlords Served: Liu Bei, Liu Chan
Officers Killed: Wang Lang, Chen Shi, Ma Su
Cause of Death: Overworked and fell sick

A master tactician. Also known as Kongming and alias "The Sleeping Dragon". Zhuge Liang lived a peaceful and tranquil life in Longzhong village in the countryside until Liu Bei managed to meet him in person on his third visit. Touched by Liu Bei's sincerity as well as Liu Bei's adoption of his plan for setting up a kingdom in the west and allying with East Wu at the same time, Zhuge Liang left his humble abode to serve Liu Bei in what would be a major turning point for Liu Bei. Zhuge Liang was then a 27 year old chap and Liu Bei 47 years old.
Initially Guan Yu and Zhang Fei cannot accept the fact of taking orders from a young chap thinking how can their elder brother Liu Bei trust a young and inexperienced chap like Zhuge Liang so much as to giving him full command of the army in the battle against Xiahou Dun. However Zhuge Liang's uncanny anticipations of the enemy movement which resulted in a complete victory over the Cao troops on his first command proved Guan Yu and Zhang Fei wrong.

However the second attack wave proved too much to handle and Liu Bei led the populace of Xinye to retreat to Xiangyang but was chased away by Liu Cong. Having no alternative Zhuge Liang led a small band of soldiers to JiangXia to request reinforcements from Liu Qi. To ensure Liu Bei's survival against Cao Cao's impending invasion, Zhuge Liang volunteer to head for East Wu to personally sway Sun Quan into an alliance with Liu Bei and resist Cao Cao together. Liu Bei and Sun Quan's armies dealt a heavy blow to Cao Cao and Liu Bei captured the territories of Jingzhou as war spoilts.

Sharing the same idea as Pang Tong that Jingzhou cannot be defended long term, Zhuge Liang remained behind in Jingzhou while Liu Bei together with Huang Zhong, Wei Yan, Pang Tong and Guan Ping headed for Xichuan. Unfortunately the subsequent death of Pang Tong in the westward expedition as well as Liu Bei's entrapment in Xichuan left Zhuge Liang no choice but to lead troops to Xichuan to rescue Liu Bei as well as to capture Xichuan.

Later when Liu Bei passed away, Zhuge Liang managed to hold off seven armies initiated by Cao Pi. Under Zhuge Liang, the Shu kingdom became more properous and militarily stronger. He subdued the southern barbarian king Meng Huo and later on led six expeditions against Wei in an attempt to fulfil Liu Bei's wish of restoring the Han Dynasty.

Zhuge Liang's greatest worry is his arch nemesis Sima Yi. If it wasn't for Sima Yi, Zhuge Liang would have captured Luoyang and accomplished Liu Bei's goal of restoring the Han Dynasty. The overworked and stressed Zhuge Liang fell seriously ill on the six expedition. He passed away on the plains of Wuzhangyuan but before dying recommended Jiang Wei to succeed him. The death of Zhuge Liang is a great loss for the Shu kingdom.

Zhao Zilong

and me

Zhao Yun
Full Name: Zhao Zilong
Life Span: 71 years (AD 158-228)
Brother: Zhao Lei (sworn brother)
Sons: Zhao Tong(209), Zhao Guang(210)
Warlords Served: Gongsun Zan, Liu Biao
Officers Killed: Qu Yi, Gao Lan, Zhang Wu, Lu Kuang, Chunyu Dao, Yan Ming, Xing Daorong, Xiahou En, Zhu Ran
Cause of Death: Old age.

The longest surviving of the five tiger generals of the Shu Kingdom, Zhao Yun originally served under the warlord Gongsun Zan but abandoned him after finding him to be a warlord who fights for his own gains and didn't bother about suffering of the general populace. He joined up with Liu Bei when Liu Bei was escaping from Yuan Shao's camp.
Calm and level-headed, he was assigned as escort for Liu Bei on functions and trips. He is best remembered for his courageous breakout at Changban slope from the encirclement of the Cao army to rescue Liu Bei's new born child Liu Chan to safety. Aside from Guan Yu and Zhang Fei, Zhao Yun is the most seasoned and experienced general and Liu Bei relied upon him on practically every battle up till he became the King of Hanzhong.

Zhuge Liang was relieved when he managed to intercept Lady Sun's boat and together with Zhang Fei brought back Liu Chan thus avoiding a blackmail from the Wu Kingdom to use Liu Bei's son to exchange for the territories of Jingzhou.

When Liu Bei breathed his last, he entrusted Zhao Yun to look after his sons. The death of Guan Yu was quickly followed up by Zhang Fei and Huang Zhong leaving only two tiger generals alive after the death of Liu Bei thus Zhao Yun is highly valued to the Shu Kingdom. During the suppression of the southern rebellion by Meng Huo, Zhuge Liang brought him and Wei Yan along as senior officers. With the south pacified, the plans for the invasion of Wei proceeded and though by that time Zhao Yun is very old, he is still a fearsome warrior on the battlefield despite his age.

Zhuge Liang was greatly saddened when Zhao Yun's sons Zhao Tong and Zhao Guang went to Chengdu to report the death of their father.
