Does anyone know how to get love from the Senate and the People? I have no idea how to do it and i can't beat the game.
making the senate happy is common sense... do their missions and expand in the right direction.
gettin support from the people requires the expansion of your empire. (any other way?)
Hosting games can improve your relationship with the public, but you've to be prepared for the cost.

Conquer is the answer. Conquer for the glory of Rome!

There are a few traits family members may have, to either improve or reduce standing amongst the Senate or the People too.

And farm upgrades, and at least Temples, Colosseums and other Public order buildings also affect the People's love!! Or so I believe.
But conquest mostly
Can't have both though. As your popularity with the plebs rises, be prepared for Senate opinion to take a nosedive. As far as I know, it is very hard to maintain a high level for both.
I'm pretty sure doing what the senate asks and continually completing the missions they set you makes them happier with you, over time.
But don't forget-the only way to win the game involves making the Senate rather angry, i.e. taking Rome. ~;)
To make the People happy (and so to get their support) you must expand and build a large empire, to make them look on you as a hero and mighty general. As far as I know, building things and throwing Games does not make the People happier; and the 'people' are the plebs of Rome, so they aren't affected by your empire directly. If you have around 25 provinces and haven't lost too many battles the Plebs will probably give you support to attack Rome.
Those 10 influence analretentive game and race despisers ensure peace throughout the Roman empire ...... unless of coure you provoke it directly.

A good way to maintain good popularity with both is to make sure you are not the most hated Roman faction in the senate...
During my last couple of campaign games as the Julii and Brutii, for some reason the Scipii's popularity took a major nosedive with both the senate and the plebs... They were so unpopular it was really sad (despite them owning all of North Africa and suffering rebellions).
In both campaigns I had a senate and people rating of 7, it said somehting like "some senators have reservations about you, but those concerns are muted by your popularity with the people" or some such.

I just finished a short campaign as the Julii and took all of Gaul and was hailed a hero or something like that but I never achieved higher than a 7 rating with the Senate or 4-5 with the Plebs (people). I understand the Senate rating because I didn't accomplish half or the tasks asked for but I don't know what the people rating was about. I won all land battles and most of my naval battles. Is there a "time" factor, or "types" of victory ie., heroic, clear, etc that effect this rating? Or are the people just "brain dead" getting more obese watching Springer and Friends and expect the space Shuttle and world conquest normal everyday events....oops, how'd that slip in there ~
The Ronin, if it was a short campaign you only had 15 provinces, correct? You need around 25-30 for the Plebs to go crazy about you, I think.

interestingly I was able to get that and the senate still liked me... But I guess when the Senate had only me as a major Roman military power capable of accomplishing their goals it kind of worked out well...
The only other alternatives were the hated Scipii with their rock bottom popularity with the Plabs and Senators, or the Julii who never seemed to want to leave their home provinces.
