Hi all,
this is something thats been playing on my mind a little regarding mods for RTW. There is starting to emerge some really cool mods and I think this is probably the tip of the iceburg. ~D

The problem is I personally dont have time to install and play all the mods to test if I like them or not. :book:

What do you think of the possibility of the ORG setting up a mod hall of fame - this would not only contain links to the completed mods, but a brief summary of the mods setting, some of its features, a couple of screenies, and finally and most importantly it would have a star rating with some comments from a panel of ORG reviewers (repected ORG members and long time TW players). ~

This could be really useful for players like myself who have limited time to cram in the maximum gaming pleasure, we could check out fully completed mods and easily decide based on the reviewers comments and game features which mods we would most likely want to play. :help:

As a final point regarding the active mod community - something I think is ausome and am very grateful for anyone who volenteers their time to modding the game for the benefit of all players  . There appears to be a fair bit of duplication of ideas and mods - for example their are at least two LOTR mod projects, and realism mods etc. :dizzy2:

Wouldnt it be better for modders to co-ordinate their efforts to make a single all encompassing mod with quality finish and polish and heaps of features, than a couple of hurriedly finished projects that ran out of time or man power and have almost identical features to one another. :embarassed:

To use an example from another modding community - NWN had a spate of short crappy mods come out as soon as modding feature was included with the game - there were so many mods - no-one played half of them ~ . The community got its act together and now produces just a few really huge mods that are of such quality they are sold to the community - who are happy to part with a few bucks to play what is in essence an game add on. ~:grouphug:

just some rambling ideas - not critisms - GO modders!
~

I think this is a great idea and think someone should do it. Or at least a list of all mods in the modding forums or something.

Yup have like a .ORG Mod of the Year Award. That would be cool and also bring a lot of honor to the Mod.
