Hey , its some chance of have the colosal armies of the videos ??? they are real huge!!! very huge armies!!! what computer have the chance to run that armies in normal speed!!!

and why the macedonians are a unplayable faction???? the macedonians were in history a important nation , they was a powerful enemy of the romans , thousands and thousands of sarissas who opossed to the roman legions!!! :furious3:

and this is a question , what size of units you use on battles??????? i used huge battles , but my computers run a little slow.

thanks

Well for the huge armies you dont' just need a 3.0Ghz comp (incl. 1056 RAM) but a 128 Mghz video card. You need a lot to play this game smoothly to it's fullest. My advice is to ride it out and wait till the computer prices go down some more.

You can easily make MAcedonians( and every faction playable) manually. Just go to Rome - Total War\Data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign

and them open descr_strat.txt and cut and paste the non-playable factions on the playable pile.

128 Mghz video card
lol no such thing.

I think a p4 3.0+ / athlon 3200+ can run it smoothily with everything at full, not that i'm lucky enough to know first hand!

As for video cards, get some of the ones that are a couple behind the best, as the price is constantly being pushed down. Just keep saving, that's what i'm doing.

I think he meant Mb not Mghz.

I'd be impressed with a 128Ghz graphics card.

If I had that my life would be complete.

What is stranger is that Macedon has a description written for their selection on the campaign screen, whereas none of the other supposed-to-be-unplayable factions do. Looks like they were going to be playable, but didn't quite make the cut...

All-Civs enabler (http://www.twcenter.net/downloads/db/?mod=75)

That's where i got the very handy All-Civs enabler thing from. Why change the files yourself, when someone else can do it for you? It's very handy, and without it, i wouldn't have been able to play all the wonderful civs that are locked.

Thanks for the link.

Btw, Pontus also had a description following it like Macedon.
