View Full Version : Help with editing faction's aggressiveness

I hope this is the correct forum, but I had trouble finding anything related to my question with the search function.

I'm half way through The War with Hannibal, by Titus Livy and am pretty excited to take the Carthaginians and do some Scipio hunting. Every game I've played so far has the Scipii a relatively tame faction, content to hang out on the toe of Italy and Sicily. Is there any way to make them a more formidable, hungry opponent? I'd also like to edit the Carthaginians (little tired of the Spaniard rabble destroying them in a decade or two) and Seleucid for future campaigns so they aren't such easy fodder for the Egyptians.

Also, on an unrelated question, is there any way I can edit the frequency of storms on the campaign map and the occurence of night and evening battles? I've seen neither of these whatsoever in three or four short campaigns and two long.

Thanks for any help and I apologize in advance if there is a thread already about these things I couldn't find or if I'm in the wrong forum.

Alright, I found info on editing the faction's personalities and have that taken care of (I hope.)

Does anyone have any other tweaking ideas for a Punic War-centric campaign, being played as Carthage?

I was thinking of setting the Scipii to a war-like AI personality (simply for the sake of having a strong foe) and maybe allying the Numidians with Carthage (gotta look that up too) but I'm wondering if there's anything else obvious that could increase the 'feel' of this campaign that anyone else can think of.

I appreciate any help and thanks in advance.

That should have all the info, but if you need help I'll try. I know nothing about modding but I did this successfully.
