Nur Al-Din of the Fatimids 3rd Syrian Peasants

I really hate that when it happens.

The only historical characters I've seen so far in game (or that I remember off, or have noticed) are Nur Al-Din and El Cid.

I've gotten Nur Al-Din with the Egyptians in Early whenever Ive played as them. However, most times Ive gotten him as general of Saharan Cavalry or other a bit better units. Now when I started a new campaign with egyptians, Nur Al-Din appeared as General for a unit of PEASANTS!!! Poor him, if the enemy cavalry does a flank or rear charge!
I use peasants as garrison troops, and was about to invade Rum with my Egyptian armies, when he came along.

Anyone had similar experiences?

Do you by any chance have a mod installed? Or modded a little bit yourself? AFAIK, when unit has DISCOURAGED (as peasants do normally) in thier prefered general stat it's impossible to get generals with that unit-type, without training them yourself or bribe them.

We had a member here that changed (almost?) all units to discouraged and El Cid stopped showing up due to lack of a good unit type.
