Any news about the mirror? Maybe a bittorrent link?

One's bound to work.
good stuff, cheers. ~
hmmmm...............
i renamed a vanilla copy of MTW+VI installation back to \Total War\Medieval - Total War\ as instructed, and then installed BKB into it.
i have an install option in the "all programs" bar, but no .exe of any kind in either the "all programs" bar, the desktop, or in the installation folder.
and the default .exe in the installation folder will only recognise the original MTW play disk, not the VI disk.
very curious....................?

You have to install the mod into the 'Total War' folder if that helps.
b0ll0x.
checked the version number and it is only v1.0, i.e. MTW sans VI. i must have overwritten my vanilla copy of MTW/VI. :(
i now have to uninstall all my MTW+VI+mods and start again, as my PC won't install VI if it detects an extant installation.
such is life. :)

I install it by going to the disk, Exploring it and double clicking on setup it usually works.
it won't accept that on mine.

I have just installed and begun my first game of your most excellent mod, BKB, thanks for all your hard work.
I have one question:
Did you change anything around with the rules for moving troops by sea? I currently have troops in Morocco that I want to move to Granada. I have a port in Morocco, a ship in the Straits of Gibralter, and it still won't let me move those troops. Do I now need to have ports in both the province troops are leaving and the province they are going to? Is it something else that I am missing?
Thanks in advance.

Try building a port in Granada and see if that's the problem. I've heard there were some sea problems with the old version, but I hoped I'd ironed them out for this release.
i set up MTW on my dads PC for him to get into, but i set it up thus:
F:\vanilla\Medieval - Total War\ (plain MTW+VI to copy into mod folders)
F:\NTW\Medieval - Total War\ (Napoleonic Total War)
F:\HTW\Medieval - Total War\ (Hellenic Total War)
will i have to adapt this system for BKB thusly:
F:\BKB\Total War\Medieval - Total War\ (to accomodate the BKB installer)
?
cheers

I'll try to, but I'm not sure I'll get the chance. Unfortunately, without reinforcements from Morocco, I'm afraid my measly little garrison in Granada is going to be wiped out by Spanish hordes in the nest turn...

Tried it out, you need a port in granada. Sorry about that and possibly won't be able to fix.

No problem, BKB. The overall quality and variety offered by your mod far outweighs any minor glitches...

It kinda makes sense when you think about it. Amphibiuos landing craft wouldn't be invented for another 800 years. I guess for the sake of gameplay, it makes sense to allow for invasions without ports at the receiving end, but for transfers?
..... Okay boys, we've cleared the channel. That's Normandy there, we're about 1/4 mile off shore. We can't get any closer because of the underwater rock formations. Over the side you go. Would you be so kind as to deliver this letter to my cousin while you're over there?.....

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I found another troop transport glitch. This time playing as the Norse in Early.
I am trying to move troops from Orkneyjar & Caithness to Norway. I have ports in both provinces and longboats in the North Atlantic, the North Sea, and the Norwegian Sea. Yet I still cannot move my troops.
~
Sorry BKB, but I think you will have to get this problem sorted out, otherwise some factions, like the Norwegians, will be almost unplayable.

Oops. I forgot to mention that I can move troops from Norway to Orkneyjar & Caithness, but not vice versa.
