Dont quote me on this now, Im just remembering a past thread.(I hope...)

As far as I know its all down to how good your assasins, spies are. A border tower has x% of catching a valour 1 assasin and the percentage falls the better your man gets. You can up them a level by taking out all your enemy agents in the Empire, or if you are really nasty, a peasant unit can act as a "training camp", just off a general every turn for a decade or so.

It docent seem to do that. Here are few things that i know in Viking Invasion Border fort has been given more power and now gan stop several agent. Even really good ones. I just had 7 6star assassins stopped and this got me really curious.

Other agent thing is that what really happens if you bribe enemy castle....I had Citadel bribed and sudently after 2 turns it became Fortress. I didn't mind.
It was pleasant subrice.

How did that happen...? I thought building queue is emptied when you take a province...?

Hi serpent - you stand more chance of losing your assassins if the other faction has spies, assassins or other strategic agents in the province - seems to help the border forts no end. And you can't see them so you don't know 'til it's too late (unless you save your game and do a faction swap cheat, I guess). I find I catch a lot of spies and assassins when I have my own in the provinces with the border forts, so I guess that's how the AI gets mine, as well!.

Yes assassins are annoying if you're strapped for cash (fleets and troops are quite expensive in the beginning) and don't have the recources to even build a tavern and brothel to counter them...:\

Once you get get them though your own spies/assassins help greatly in catching enemy spies/assassins.

Borderforts are relatively useless for your own faction. They're great for enemy factions though since they catch even well trained spies and assassins.

Maybe not when bribed..

That is probably the case. I do know when a province is bribed there is absolutly no damage done to any existing buildings.

Thing is that when i see really good province that has been build very well I tend to bribe castle first and then take it.This way I wont loose any buildings . This time I couldn't attack right away so after 2 turns i had Fortress and big smile.

~:) But if you start thinking about how this would work in real world ....I would say that would be hilarious sight . One groub has siege on and they are trying to kill everyone in the castle and they are fighting for they life. the there is big peasant groub trying to build fortress and worrying about tight schedule.
And they really would be shouting and :furious3: Because they are harashed these medieval warriors.

aah nice little chaos. :duel: :smash: :smash: :whip: :smash: :deal: :builder2: :duel:

Maybe not when bribed..Hmm, mmm, I am puzzled... I often bribe neutral stacks with well built up provinces (...so they were actually building up...) but never on a single occasion did I see a non-empty building queue!

Well anyway... this is my 200th post!!! ~ :hippy: :drummer: :party2::party:
