Edit units

How come i cant edit units.... i edit a few units stats, and when i try to load the game, it wont load (the game comes on, and closes before the spinning activision logo comes on)

Help?

it depends where you've editted them and how. It's very sensitive, any typos or errors and it will crash. Are you following tutorials in the guides section?

I would also recommend going to your RTW shortcut on your desktop, right click on it...and choose properties

Then, change your shortcut to read

"[whatever your RTW directory is]\RomeTW.exe" -show_err

The show_err bit will allow the game to tell you which text file has caused the error, and will also tell you what line of the text file caused the problem. This helped me HUGELY when I was trying to work out how to edit stats. Sometimes you can cause a crash just by having a space where there shouldn't be one!!!
