can someone plz tell me how i install a second rtw on my pc in a different location etc. i want to mod one of them with the totalrealism mod but leave the other one normal so i can still play multiplayer??? im a pc noob so plz dont laugh at me :(

C:During the install process when you are prompted to choose the location for your install it will prompt you with: [b]C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War. Simply replace the "Activision" part with a new folder of your choosing, such as "Total Realism" or some such. When you click on next to proceed it will ask you if you want to create to folder, click "yes" and the install should then proceed. Good luck.

Without reinstalling from disc - just open your Activision folder, right click on the Rome - Total War folder, drag it down a bit and use Copy Here. You should end up with a copy of the RTW folder, which you can rename and use for modding. You might want to create a new shortcut to the RomeTW.exe inside, and name it eg Rome Realism Mod or whatever

ok ive done everything you said cloud but it refuses to install properly. can anyone who has installed rtrv5.0 plz help. it just keeps telling me that some of the files are corrupted and that i need to re-download and try to install again, but that makes no difference.

Install your copy of rome with patch then copy the entire folder of the game and if you have another hd paste the folder there, thats how i did it and it works great

cheers for the help guys but ive managed to sort it. the problem was due to totalrealism.com for some reason the download from there was corrupted but i got a clean version from another mirror :)
