Just thought it'd be nice to start one of these, being as they started one for vercingentorix at TWC after he made his program. I think that DJ is perhaps the greatest all around modder of the TW series, and just thought that people should recognize his work more. He is currently working on the STW mod project with two great modellers and skinners, Ceryx and kaiserjaffa.

Thanks to all of you and expecially DJ

I'll second that. And I'll add that as a moderator, he does one heck of a job riding shotgun over all the modding activities in these forums. I don't know where he finds the time to do it all.

Agreed, his artwork on METW got me into modding in the first place and his help and tutorials kept me there. Thank you DJ.

Damn right, when I first posted on these forums, back when modding MTW, from the very first moment, I don't think I've ever seen him make a mistake, in modderating or modding. I was kinda stuck on my campaign map, and after a bit of help from DJ, he found errors everywhere, alright, a few I should have seen myself, but he found them in seconds.

Like Hoggy said, I probably wouldn't still be a modder if not for the inspirational Duke John

I know that everyone has a great deal of respect for you DJ, when you considered leaving the forums, the posts asking you to stay showed how much we appreciate your work...

Hats off to DJ

I agree with all your considerations about DJ, both as modder and moderator.
As my English is somewhat limited...

I remember when I joined the Org Duke John released his first Uruk-Hai graphics (summer 2003), and since then he was only getting better and better, and that I think will continue.

Cheers Duke John! ~

I had been modding TW for almost 2 years on and off, and finally started my own mod project with China Total War, which I have just resigned from. Then after I started that mod I saw DJ and Sengoku Jidia....I was amazed, I have a love for Japenese history, and if there is anybody I'd like to see making that STW mod then it would have to me DJ.

One more thanks DJ....The sensei of all

Ah, that Uruk-hai unit is almost 2 years ago, good memories come back when thinking of that period with ME:TW starting up and some good fellas helping out. That was nice...

And nice it is getting again with some excellent artists working on Sengoku Jidai and other mods that are showcases of the love of a modder for a subject. It's nice to see how people develop their ideas and even better how people help each other out when facing problems. And in that I am luckily not unique so a big thank you for you too. Since if it weren't for others I wouldn't have been able to copy/paste their wisdom into guides

Thanks for the kind words

I think its fair to say that DJ is extremely appreciated around here.

His talents and helpful nature and an inspiration for others and we should all thank him for his hard work and dedication. I'll admit to been lucky enough to work with DJ on the METW project in the time I was there and he was always helpful and willing to listen to what I and others had to say and even though he was the driving force behind it alot of the time he never let it get to his head.

I feel compelled in joining all of you in expressing appreciation to Duke John's efforts and contributions to the TW series Moding Community.

As a "Drive-By" modder here in the Org I did always appreciate the clarity and thouroughness of Duke John's Posts about Discoveries and Tutorials, that have always contributed in bringing me up to speed and modifying my gaming experience to my pleasure.

Thank thee and may I raise a glass in thine honor! ~
