I successfully moved the original (well actually the RTR v.3 - the one with Scotland added) campaign map some 50 pixels eastward so now there's a heap of Atlantic ocean out to the west. I then successfully moved the resources back to their positions on the map. What was unsuccessful was when I tried moving the people/armies back - added 50 to the x value as I did with the resources - the darn thing kept returning to the Provincial Campaign screen indicating there was something wrong. The game seems to get really cranky with placement of people and stuff. I'm almost afraid to try adding or moving around the armies/characters for fear it will cause a crash or not work.

Anyone have ideas on how I could correct this or whats going on?

Thanks,
Clare

are you using the -show_err command on your shortcut?

Yup... it returns to the Provincial Campaign screen, refuses to select any of the campaigns and doesn't tell you exactly what was the error. I suspect it has something to do with moving those armies/characters. Right now they're a bunch of Moses's walking on the Atlantic.

Any thoughts?

It doesn't give you an error when you quit?

When you return to the menu, exit R:TW. What does the popup say?

Not much either just tells me that one of the child characters is incorrectly linked or something but it always says that. Checked the characters relationships they seem to be okay too. The game doesn't seem to want them moved from their original positions en masse.
