I'm currently changing the banners for Carthage and I've come across a problem with the campaign map banners.

When I save the image with the new logo, I start up RTW and it doesn't work. When I open the file again the background colour has changed from R:255 G:255 B:255 to R:255 G:251 B:255.

Could someone tell me how these files work and how to save them properly?

BTW, I'm using PSP

I had the same problem.
When I tried to do on the dds file, open without mipmaps, nothing happened. All the banners were the same as in the original game, even in photoshop they look different.

In the second attempt I saved the dds file as tga. I did all the changes there and saved it as dds, generating new mipmaps.
In that case the new logo was shown ~:cheers: (instead of the german logo), but inside an awful grey square, as if the background were not transparent. ~:confused:
What is worse, all the other logos in the same file (gauls for example) were shown in the same way. :furious3:

Any idea? :help:

I'm by no means an expert when it comes to editing image files like this but I found that I only came across your situation, with the logo inside a grey square, once I had deleted an alpha channel attached to symbols2.tga.
I'm wondering if there is a way to edit this alpha channel or add a completely new one?
