Gonna be 33 this April.. arghhhh.. Remember the first time I played games on PC(not sure it was called PC that time) back in 85 - 86 with Apple II. Remembered the green screen.. What was the game that time ? Summer Olympic ? Eeer.. then the helicopter one. don't remember the title.. The Realms of Arkania onb my bro's old x86 laptop.. It was addictive.. So was Horizons & my all time fav. X-COM (terror fronm the deep?).. ~
33....
Why The big leap?

Sheesh, why not 30 to 45?

Proudly announces that I STILL belong to the good old 20 - 30 bracket. As of tomorrow, though, I will be in the same bucket as the walking stick-swinging oldies (30 - 65). Oh well...will just have to go out and buy one of those then...

I'm 48. It's good to see so many young people interested in this time in history. When I was in my 20's I had no interest at all in this. We also didn't have a game like these to spark it though.
That was me, Im 67 years old. Im kidding! Im 15 turning 16 in about 2 months. Ive already wasted many good years playing the TW series, and Im darn happy about it!! ~D ~D ~D

Although I'm roughly two third of your age, I'll share that sentiment. We didn't have computer games back when I was a kid and then a teenager. I'm taking a bloody revenge now. ~;)

Well computer/video games are mostly for teenagers so I'm suprised there's so many elderly people. It's all good though.
I am afriad I must disagree such typical image of computer games player.
I too used to believe in such image, untill I got into the communities of games that I have played, such as Neverwinter Nights (roleplaying game and MMORPG type of online words), Half-Life's Counter Strike and Total War (got I play too many games).
I actually realise that many companies of people are from 20's onwards, and many clan leaders, and people who play the role as a host of a game, or a clan, are from their 30's.
Of course this is just my personal experience.

Also, there is only one vote for being 65 years old, everything else could hardly be caled, "elderly people". There is somthing called wisdom, which a lot of kids have no idea about, such as saying 20 years old + is elderly. Its much better than shouting "I will pwn y00000" during online game though :)
hey - watch who you are calling elderly - LOL

For your edification ~ "Gaming" has been around longer than any of us here.........
Once upon a time, back when large reptiles pranced about the planet on thier rear legs (and way befor the invention of oil) games were played with maps made of paper and little tiny bits of cardboard to use for reminders of what sort of mayhem one had in mind ~;) Some even earlier ones used a map-board and little plastic figures (something that seems to have re-occured during the 90's)
Being a well aged 54, and having been gaming since I was 13 (anyone else remember those old board-games from milton bradley?) all I can say is this:
"One only gets older on the outside"! Quite a few of us are still just the same young jedi-knights we aspired to be!

Yes, some people focus a lot on the "rock, scissors, paper"-principle of earlier TW games. Imagine how boring that game was 40000 years ago! (Gary Larson has).

YEAH! I'm damn proud of it too. People always say that it's a waste of time and all that crap but i don't think so. If older generations played more games they woudlnt' be this suicidal. This type of game envigorates the soul. The world doesn't seem as bleak when you are entertained.
Oh yeah and im 18 and very depressed. I guess that's no suprise from someone my age though.
Guess... go on... guess... it won't hurt ya... whatd'ya think.... hm?

ha, i did expect that there would have been 'age' polls before, but as DJ(not diskjockey but Duke John, nice guy of course, he's dutch! ~;) ) said did you need to rub that in my nose :embarassed: , not that is matters that much, but i'm just in a weird mood, haha. ~:joker: :laugh4: :stars:

Do I remember the Milton Bradley games? I had them all. Dogfight, Broadsides, Hit the beach and Civil War (before it was renamed Battlecry).
I started computer gaming with Zork and Mystery house. Zork had the best graphics ever done. At least in my mind ~;)

22 at the end of march.
First started playing computer games on those god awful BBC machines you used to get in primary schools.
I remember playing text RPG games ie. blackscreen (or maybe it was green cant remember) with the text saying: to the west you see a tree, to the east you see a mountain to the north you see a village. Where do you want to go - you then had to type in something like go east or go north
