Let's get a Wishlist going while the boards are down.
1. I wish that we could have battles look like they should: chaotic. Instead of a field of clones running into eachother and then hacking away while standing still it would be neat to have at least everyone dressed a little bit differently as well as have each soldier act in a certain way in battle (some might run from the enemy, some might just take on anyone and charge wherever you tell them, some might try to get other guys around him to help him flank around the side of a unit - etc). At the moment it's still blocks of units, which isn't bad - but of course like anything it could be improved upon.
2. Weather effects of all the Total War games brought back plus new ones added. (this means storms and lightning and if possible - wind effects which have a play on arrows).
3. Make raiding the countryside/trade routes a viable strategy.
that's all I have, feel free to add to my suggestions

Nice to have lightnings. Have one hit your troops and kill 10 men ~D
1. An AI capable of winning battles. How about CA hires hundreds of people to play as the computer in multiplayer campaign maps? That would be nice.
2. I'd like to see cavalry respond to orders. Not walk slowly to the enemy and then finally charge when they are within 10 meters from them.

now i'm not a programmer but i honestrly can't see why it is so hard making the AI smart...
my one wish is that the AI played like Sun Tzu on very hard, i can't see how it would be that hard just program the game with the Art of War and the easier you set the game the less it actually follows this manual...on very hard it would be like playing the great man himself and would be actually VERY hard..just a thought

a totally new total war game:
Mesoamerica: Total War
like the Aztecs and olmecs and the maya and then the spanish conquistadors and all that.
the only thing is that there won't be any cavalry until the Spanish arrive
I wish a big prolagand game talking about The Saljuqus and Abbasian and Mideast factions specially Muslims and pagens . :charge:

I think it would be awesome to have MTW and STW redone in the new engine - that would be the best idea ever :balloon2:

We do need to have them al least dress differently if not have thier own little minds :P... i mean i agree with Colovian, but think about it you can't logically program units to think of them selves...i mean it might work but it would repeat the same processes over and over and it would take yrs to do it properly. but yes having something like a war hand with diff hair styles and some with swords and other with spears in a warband would go down well.
the game can be improved and needs to be :P but no one really has the time to do it. i would like to see the idea of raiding the country to come into affect, things like if you want to or not and where you can and what you will gain etc.. even letting horse or infanty "burn" farmsteads. Who knows?
wheather would be awesome but you all have to understand that the pagans were mainly scared of thunder (thinking it was a bad sign from their gods) and it could play a good affect..everywhere it will end up waiting an dyou should have a bigger chance of chooseing when and what wheater to fight in, i mean something like if you want rain you can choose to wait maybe 1 or 8 days? and if they enemy attack they attack your camp etc...
there are alot of things to be added to the game but will they? i mean does any of the designers actually look at what we post...or does anyone have a way of contacting them?
