I'm Lost

I'm totally lost. Recently I've formatted my D driver (my games driver) and re-installed my game copy. The when I started the game as usual start during the intro i ESC during the prologue (?) training campaign and quit. Then I mod the game to add the non-playable factions and also lockable (include all except rebel & senate) and also to delete the littkle flags & arrows during battle. That's all my changes.

Now when I started the game the intro is no more ! I goes straight to loading and the page where we choose which game to play, which faction to choose ect. The problem is the screen becomes jerky when i move the mouse and becomes reallly hard to point & click.

The good thing is my games actually runs faster and so far I haven't had a crash yet.

Anyone have any idea what causes this ? It never happened before. I use nVidia FX5200 (a cheap one, forget the brand & 348 RAM)> have reinstalled the driver (XP detonator , forgot the version but latest). I realized it happened after I installed Win Media player 10 (b4 i use WMP 9).

What else ? Hmmm.. Anyway.. anyone got any ideas ?

i had it happen to me and unfortunately i never found a solution, it wasnt too much of a problem though cos it only affected the main menu screens. the problem cleared up after i did a system restore :)

What OS are you using?

XP home (ne service pack add). I'm gonna try to uninstall Win Media Player 10 and stick back to 9. See what happens. Reinstalledthe game and still the same. Reinstalled the driver that comes with the vid card still the same.. :duel:
