View Full Version : "Knights of Honour"
I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to help me here.
What do you think about the game: "Knights of honour" is it like MTW or Lords of the realm III?
And what about cosaksII, Empire earth II & Imperial glory?

Not far from MTW with CK elements, though the scope is definitively more strategic. Tactical battles are clearly behind, but the world map is full of tricks(try to be a bad boy & conquer everything - will be easier for the early conquest. Then the rest of the world attacks you, & more problematic, cuts trades.....).
Try the demo, it's a very specific gameplay, some like, some don't. ah, & Play at hard difficulty, other levels are pointless.

Knights of Honor is a fantastic game.
If one could pair the diplomatic part of Knights of Honor with overall strategic and tactical gameplay from Medieval, we would get the probably greatest game of all times.
In KoH I played as a small country, with only two cities under my rule. Using the outmost Machiavellian Realpolitik, I conquered the entire Europe. That was amazing.
I recommend it.

To what I said previously I'd add that the rythm in that game is really specific. My comparison with MTW was not 100/100 accurate, as the strat map does play real-time. But it's more a real-time à la CK, which means click speed is not a requirement.
Strat map is really the strong point of the game, with a very efficient relations manager(attack the pope, & you'll see catholics turn red).
And the demo really gives a good feeling of what the game is. ~

It's a decent game, but I definately enjoyed the hours I spent playing it. Like they've said it got a fair bit of strat depth, but it's not for everyone.
