hi guys, am kinda new to this forum, i basically registered cuz of the lurve you lads have bout STW; sadly however, i have not been able to fully enjoy the game at present. I get totally frustrated when due to what seems to be no apparent reason, STW crashes randomly when i play during round changes. This alone has cost me time and energy spent in the single player mode, its just soooooo frustrating.

I admit, that at least if i wasn't able to close the game normally [cuz it crashes and stays put], i should at least be able to enjoy the game while i play. I recently picked up the game again and started a new campaign. After dealing with my enemies while defending a province, i waited for the round change and the game just got stuck right there and then, sometimes even the alt tabbing i press wont go to windows, and i always end up rebooting windows. Can you guys please help me out, i noticed none of you has posted any complaints on this.

Duely appreciated.

I put a copy of this in the apothecary. Check both.

At the end of each turn, before you advacne to the next turn, hold CONTROL and press S. This will Quicksave the game. If the game crashes during the transition, restart and load your quicksave game. This might help, as long as the problem is being caused by something outside of the game. If it's inside the game, then the game should crash each time, even after you reboot and reload.

This is a "bandaid" and not the best solution, but at least it might allow you to continue a campaign in which you've invested time. When I first started playing Shogun I lost a few campaigns to crashes before I discovered CONTROL+S and was very annoyed.
