I've got an idea for a poll: Which is the nicest/best moderator?? Of course barocca and tosainu will be able to be chosen too!

1 rule: they cannot vote for themselves. ~D
1 tip: do not post who you voted!(for your own sake) ~;)

I knew these after little seeking: Barocca, Mithrandir, Tosainu, KukriKhan, LordofStorms, Duke John, Papewaio, Sasaki Kojiro, monkeyman, cheetah, rob the bastard, shiro, gregoshi, kraellin, frogbeastegg, admintest, shadeswolf, A. saturnus, catiline, nelson.

are there more?

/me say either Gregoshi or Frostbeastegg; Tho all the staff are nice as far as I can see, eh?

Depends on which part of the 'forums' one spends one's time in the most, LOL!

Often depends on what you call 'nice'.

Gregoshi slapped me down more than once and /me think he's the max, did a good job, eh?

Tosainu 'isn't' sposed to be seen by most of us. Still will respond to query, eh?

Etc, Etc: What yu mean by 'nice', Wilbur? All of your (mentions) are -nice-,

/me says 'ROUSING CHEER' for all .Org staff, they been doing all the right stuff for (working on a decade, or least feels like it)! Not to mention just damn well getting the job done, eh?

What more to say, eh?

Besides 'Gah'

i don't know which one to vote yet . . . i'm not a member for a very long time and rarely post outside sword dojo.

I totally agree about the staff, there all nice, so that makes the choice even harder. ~;)

anyone else tips for the poll or should i start it?

Drisos, dude;

Voting about the Org-staff is real close to talking about your favorite finger, eh?

Even if a couple of 'em are really 'thumbs', they all work so well that ya really cant do w/out any of them, dig?

The large majority of these peeps have been 'moderating' since shogun:tw came out, and those that joined just slightly later are STILL older and better @ the game than the vaste majority of 'users' will ever be, eh?

Ya might as well just give it up to YOUR fave, and be done, lol. All of these peeps have got the 'props' THEY need to carry on, dig?

-

Sword dojo, eh? Then you should know, they're mostly the same peeps.

i'm gonna make a small tournament of it, haha with a few rounds and then the final!

~;) thereother, thank you for the list! ~

Drisos

there are 33 members of the staff.

polls only have 20 options, so i have to do the first round by counting myself.

this will be it:

i pm all members of staff about the match.
i create a new topic for the first round.
only staff self can vote, they can vote 2 times, but not for themselves.
the best 20 go on to the final, where everyone votes!

good idea, huh! ~;)

(..) anyone else tips for the poll or should i start it?Hey Drisos, I wouldn't do this if I were you. I'm with L'zard on this one. Some moderators are so good you hardly notice they're there. Leave them in peace, they don't need this. Others handle the most difficult boards and have to go mano a mano all the time. They don't need this either. I don't think you're doing anyone a favour by spending your newly found enthusiasm for the game on personal issues like this.

Look, why don't you organise an online tournament for moderators? That way they can slug it out in the arena that really counts: their proficiency at the game. Those who participate can be judged on their skills, maybe also on their sense of chivalry. You'll be amazed how good some of the ladies an gentlemen of our staff are.

Uh, see what I mean, Drisos? :earmuffs:

yes. . .

so some mods. aren't really known because they don't post often and wouldn't really like it anyway.

i guess you're right again. . . :embarassed:

then i'll let go of my (at least nice meant) idea. . . :embarassed:

then i'll let go of my (at least nice meant) idea. . . :embarassed:Don't be disappointed about doing the right thing, Drisos. You're an asset to the .org already. The moment you became Junior Member, you gave the Sword Dojo a shot of new energy. After that you started welcoming and helping newcomers in the Entrance Hall in the best .org tradition.

And now you have shown that you fully understand that the .org is a human beehive where you have to tread carefully. And you are not too stubborn or proud to go back on a bad idea and try something else. That's the stuff good players (and future moderators) are made of.

nice of you, feel better now! ~

last weeks my presence in sword dojo is very little, i have told a lot almost everything about my experiences so there won't be so much anymore to post, but i set myself a few goals from which staying active at the org is one of. ~;)

about the online tournament: good idea, but i'm first gonna work out my own tech. problems. (shogun isn't working right! :dizzy2: )

my dream: getting into (or founding! ~ ) a clan of die hard shogun players!

As you can see from Papewaio's lame attempt at a joke, it isn't encouraging at all. Papewaio isn't the only mod whose posts are usually best swept under the carpet. And have you seen their inept use of smileys? Dear God, the humanity of our mods... words fail me...

hope papewaieo doesn't get mad! ~;)Well, you see, that is part of the problem on this board. The mods don't have the time or courage to stand up for the rules, or even for themselves. The majority are drunk for most of the day and night of course, which I suppose is an excuse of sorts. Others have pathological relationships that use up most of their spare time. One has to work on certain hours of the day (and night) as a transvestite in a Hamburg sex club. Another spends most of the week in a clinic, a third demands sexual favours from Junior Members (you already know which one, don't you?). It wouldn't be so bad if TosaInu didn't use the PM-system to run that drug racket. Anyway, never a dull moment...

Rob The Bastard

Mith prefers to pretend that there is a monetary reward for the trials and tribulations that moderating here presents... rather than acknowlege that he regards this entire wacky collection of oddball members with a small amount of affection.

Personally I am happy to acknowlege that I have never received financial benefits for helping out here... the psycological benefits are immense, of course.

Muwhawhawhaaa.

Sorry, another ego trip. ( Don't ask)

Nurse, more valium!
